what i spoke is the truth .. yea it was rough, and i can be a little rough around the edges at times, but it is the truth .. and apparently the truth hurts .. and i'd rather be on a 'holy pedestal' than where most the world is right now .. but, yea, that was over the top .. thank you for bringing it to my attention .. after all, better to find one fault in yourself than a thousand in someone else.

djdanny...be careful so high up there on your holy pedestal...I would hate to see you fall. Thank you for informing us all of what ungrateful sinners we are. In reference to asking for free stuff...that was in jest, hence the smiley face. Take your "worldly" chill pill, and climb down from your soap box. There were no intentions of dishonoring the band or the talent that they have, but the folks who were producing this venue definitely made some poor decisions, that’s all. We all make them, but we are all also accountable when we do.

    hello
    hello
    hello
We were about to leave for Troy, NY at 2:00Pm when my wise friend checked the venue website and saw it was cancelled. We live in Jersey; 3 hour drive.

To everyone putting NTB down, know this....
...People get sick...You do...I do. How many times have you backed out of a commitment due to illness? But just because their illness inconvenienced you, you now deserve free stuff? you deserve to complain on their website? Did Jesus complain that he had to die for our sins? Furthermore, do we not call to confirm a reservation before we honor the reservation? Do the airlines not recommend we call first before coming to the airport? NYCPastor, you are quite unforgiving for a Pastor. To have unforgiveness is to be judged a murdered in God's eyes. When I see someone is sick, I don't hold it against them; I pray for them to receive healing.

I thank NTB in advance for getting to see them in January '10 instead of just cancelling the show all together and giving us refunds. I also thank them for choosing to tour again next Spring all over again! Can't wait! Let us Love is the best song I have EVER heard. And to Love is to forgive. I forgive you, Needtobreathe. God Bless.

Just in case you are wondering about the Jesus/God references, NTB is a Christian Band... so thank you XPresident for 'checking' larry but check yourself with demanding retribution for an illness. And what is it with this worldy view of rain being some type of inconvenience to us; just because your day is bad, it is now so much worse because it is raining??? C'mon, mann! I bet Jesus felt disregarded and dispresptected when he just fed 5000 people and his disciples complained of not having enough food on the boat or when Peter denied his name when he was crucified. But you had to drive in the rain and spend money...God forbid.

God Bless guys.. Let us Love =)

I was able to buy tickets off the internet just one hour before the show started. I drove there only to find a note on the door saying the show tonight was cancelled due to illness. Great band or not, someone dropped the ball on this one, and a lot of fans paid the price. =( Make sure you give away free stuff when you return in January...lots of freee stuff =)

p.s. - larry you made me throw up a little in my mouth. I think it's dissapointing to see you make a mockery of prayer while using the name of the Lord...Check Yourself.

I agree that they are a great band to see live, which is why we drove from Long Island, N.Y. I also understand that that illness is a part of life, however... it seems clear that they were just as sick the day before. If cancelation was even a remote possibility, why take the chance and wait until only hours before??????

P.S. - Special thanks to Larry for the blessing.

I saw them in Portland the other night. Bear was still very sick and couldn't sing all the lead vocals. He told the crowd that the show in Troy the other night was the 1st show they cancelled in 10 years! They felt terrble about it. The reason the word didn't get out in time is probably because they wanted to go through with it until they realized they couldn't!
I have seen them five times in concert. There is no better live show anywhere. Really. It will be worth the wait for those of you who missed it.

I'm actually surprised they didn't have to cancel more shows during the tour. One canceled show isn't too shabby. The flu season this year has been pretty rough, I personally have been sick numerous times. Plus they lived in such close quarters on a tour bus, and were around crowds of people almost every night shaking hands taking pictures.

I UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION BUT YOU KNOW THEY'D HAVE PLAYED IF THEY REALLY COULD. WOULD YOU HAVE RATHER HAD HALF OF A BAND? YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A SHOW BUT ONLY HALF AS GOOD AS WHAT WE KNOW THEY ARE CAPABLE OF.

I can't agree more with the poster below. My wife and I drove 2.5 hours in the rain spending 60 dollars in gas and tolls only to arrive at the venue and find that the show was canceled due to illness. While I understand getting ill, I don't understand being able to purchase tickets four hours before the show and then drive up just hours later to discover illness that must have came as suddenly as the Johnstown flood... I feel disrespected, disregarded. Extremely inconsiderate job by the PR team or Revolution Hall or someone ...

Special thanks to NeedtoBreathe for a wonderful evening in Troy, N.Y. After 4 hours of driving from Long Island, N.Y. and 80 dollars in gas and tolls, we arrive at the venue only to find that the show was cancelled due to illness. We even checked Revolution Halls website earlier in the day with nothing posted. Fantastic job getting the message out. Hope you all feel better...... Thanks again!
