Spring Tour Excitement and NEEDTOBREATHE in "When in Rome"

One thing that I really enjoy about being home is that I get to go see shows.  Being in a band is the best job in the world, but when we’re touring, we very rarely get to relax and just enjoy live music.  I’ve gotten to go see a few shows since we’ve been home, and I’m planning to catch a few more before we hit the road again in March.  I caught The Whigs and The Features a couple weeks ago, checking out Charlie Mars tonight, and I’m hoping to see Government Mule next week.  I’m sure I’ll run across a few other shows as well, but I’m really excited about our tour this spring, not just because it’s what I love to do, but because of all the people who will be joining us for the shows.  We’ve known Will Hoge and Graham Colton for years.  They were actually the first people to take us out on tour outside the southeast back before we had a record deal.  They’re great performers and they were amazingly gracious to us back then, so we’re honored that they’d come share the stage with us again.  I can’t wait for the return of our good friends Seabird as well.  They’re really dynamic live, and they’ve got quality songs.  We’ve never played with Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers or Matt Hires before, but I’m expecting great things.  I’ve been checking out their stuff and I can’t wait to get the full-on live experience.  Oh yeah, we’ll be playing, too.  We’re stepping it up yet again for the Won’t Turn Back Tour.  We’re rehearsing some songs to debut that we’ve never done live, we’re beefing up the production, and I’m sure we’ll come up with a few new twists and turns before it’s all said and done.  Get prepared, because this is absolutely going to be the best NEEDTOBREATHE tour yet!

In other news, our song “Something Beautiful” is set to appear in the new movie “When in Rome”!  The movie comes out next Friday, January 29th, and it promises to be a classic tale of “romantic comedy meets NEEDTOBREATHE music”.  That’s kind of like “boy meets girl” but a lot more media-based.  Enjoy!

I went to see When In Rome only because I wanted to hear my favorite NTB song in the movie. I was disappointed when it actually was not in the movie but during the credits. And not even the first song in the credits, but like the third one. Who normally stays to watch the credits? Not me. Needless to say, I was disappointed...and the movie was not that good.
